First time here?

Like any good host, we want you to feel welcome and at home at Canvas Church. We know that your first time at a church might bring up some questions, so feel free to reach out to us or check out some frequently asked questions below!

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to a few questions you might have before your first visit.

Each week, you will experience inspiring music, an encouraging message, and friendly people. The service typically runs about an hour, with complimentary coffee from SBY Coffee. Not a fan of coffee? We always have several other drink and snack options available!

An average service starts with a Hymn, and a greeting followed by a couple of contemporary worship songs, and a short video related to the sermon series. We then continue with a 30 minute sermon, Communion and an additional worship song.

We suggest arriving a few minutes before the service begins to allow for parking, grabbing coffee, restrooms, etc.

We want you to be able to find a comfortable seat, and you’ll probably feel more acclimated to the room if you have a few minutes to adjust before the service begins. You might even make a new friend!

Absolutely! Children 6 weeks to 5th grade have their own activities designed especially for them in Canvas Kids, our children’s ministry. Students 6th through 12th grade can join us at the adult service. If you wish to bring your children with you to the adult service on your first visit, that’s fine too! We are thankful to have your family join us.

We’re way more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear to church. But so you’ll feel comfortable, know that most folks dress in casual weekend attire, and even the pastor will be wearing jeans. So dress comfortably and you’ll fit right in!

No, we’re not going to call you out, make you wave, stand up, or dance.

However, we’d like to encourage you to fill out a Connect Card. If you do, drop by the Next Steps Table after the service and we will have a small gift for you as our way of saying that we're really glad you came.

We’re excited you’re considering joining us. We can’t wait to meet you!
